Twelve european players were choosen last night in the NBA 2009 Draft, held at the Madison Square Garden: Ricky Rubio (number 5, 1990, T-Wolves), Victor Claver (number 22, 1988, T-Blazers), Omri Casspi (number 23, 1988, Kings), Rodrigue Beaubois (number 25, 1988, Thunder), Sergi Llull (number 34, 1987, Nuggets), Jonas Jerebko (number 39, 1987, Pistons), Nick Calathes (number 45, 1989, T-Wolves), Henk Norel (number 47, 1987, T-Wolves), Sergiy Gladyr (number 49, 1989, Hawks), Goran Suton (number 50, 1985, Jazz), Nando de Colo (number 53, 1987, Spurs) and Emir Preldzic (number 57, 1987, Suns).   

Also african Christian Eyenga (number 30, 1989, Cavaliers) was one of the surprises. The small-forward from Congo has played this year with El Prat, the second team of Joventut Badalona that is in spanish third division.
