Nikolaos Pappas (1990, 6'4'', G) and his teammates of Greece qualifyied for the final of the U-19 World Championships of Auckland (New Zealand) after beating Australia 84-69. The guard of Bilbao (loaned to Real Madrid II) scored 19 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 2 assists. At the other semifinal Croatia couldn't make it loosing against USA (77-81) despite of the good game of Mario Delas (1990, 6'10'', PF), with 17 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

Other good performances of european prospects today have been:

-Gediminas Orelik (1990, 6'6'', F, Lithuania): 30 points with 7/12 threes and 9 rebounds in the victory over Spain (88-64). 

-Andrew Albicy (1990, 5'9'', PG, France): 24 points, 6 assists and 4 steals in the loss against Argentina (92-84).

-Vytenis Cizauskas (1992, 6'2'', PG, Lithuania): 22 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
