Spain finished as the best team in the BAM, the U-14 tournament hosted in Slovenj Gradec (Slovenia), after beating Slovenia Blue in the last game with a 78-61 score, and 25 points of Carlos Barrera ('95). Team coached by Ramon Bordas won all four games played.

In their debut they beat easy Slovenia Green (62-89) with Javier De la Blanca ('95) scoring 22 points. In the second game they won Hungary (57-48) with 15 points from Alberto Marin ('95). In the third one Spain beat Croatia (54-69) with De la Blanca shining again (21).
