The second team of Gran Canaria, one of the best spanish clubs taking care of its youth teams, started yesterday their competition, at EBA (fourth division). The team coached by Victor Garcia beat Alcorcon 69-53, even one of the main prospects, african Bakary Konate ('93), was with the ACB team in a scrimmage. Slovenian Nejc Buda ('91), signed from Olimpija Ljubljana, didn't play either.   

Alex Lopez ('91) collected 15 points, 6 steals and 5 rebounds, while Oscar Alvarado ('91) didn't score in 22' (0/6 FG and 0/2 FT, 6 assists). Both players were with Spain U-18 this summer at Metz. At the other hand Samuel Dominguez ('91), who was with Spain U-19 in the World Championship, finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Dutchman Ewoud Kloos ('89), who participated with U-20 Netherlands in the Division "B" European Championship, scored 13 points with 3/8 from 3 points line.
