Zalgiris-Sabonis and Real Madrid (logo at the pic) qualyfied yesterday for the final of the U-16 Villa de la Orotava tournament, in Tenerife (Spain), after beating Valencia and FC Barcelona in the semifinals. Lithuanians won easy (58-75) with power-forward Simas Raupys ('94) collecting 19 points, 14 rebounds and 2 steals. Real Madrid beat Barça 57-65 with Kiko Jiménez ('94) shining: 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
At the morning all the teams played the last game of the first round. Barça beat Soproni (67-40), Valencia killed locals of San Isidro (74-51), Gran Canaria won Unelco Tenerife (70-46) and finally Zalgiris-Sabonis passed over Real Madrid (103-85). Kiko Jiménez ('94) couldn't do anything do avoid the loosing effort, even he finished with 20 points (2/2 threes) and 7 rebounds. For the lithuanians shooting-guard Tomas Dinsa ('94) repeated again a great performance with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks, while point-guard Lukas Lekavicius ('94) also shined: 17 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
