Ricky Rubio ('90) was named MVP of Lliga Catalana, leading Regal FC Barcelona to the tittle after beating CB Sant Josep Girona (LEB Gold) in semifinals and DKV Joventut at the final, played in the huge Sant Jordi stadium, in Barcelona. The young prospect only practiced twice with his new team, but enough to show his conditions.

In the semifinals game the team coached by Xavi Pascual won easy 95-53, with point-guard collecting 4 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals in 15 minuts. In the final Ricky had the pressure to play against his former team, but no problem. 62-38 and the tittle for Barça. The prospect shined with 8 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.
