On today's Euroleague qualifying first games all home teams won their battles, but they will have a tough second game on the road. Latvians of Ventspils took the best points difference against Benneton Treviso (78-73), but not enough to guarantee the final round spot. Dairis Bertans ('89) -at the pic- and Janis Strelnieks ('89) played a good game, with 12 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds and 11 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Center Lauris Blaus ('90) also shined with 8 points and 2 rebounds in 11 minutes. For italian squad, coached by Frank Vitucci, lithuanian Donatas Motiejunas ('90) scored 7 points in 10 minutes, while Andrea Renzi ('89) finished with 4 points and 1 rebound.

In an other game between greek people Aris beat Maroussi (69-67). For the looser guard Epaminondas Papantoniou ('90) played 8 seconds. In Belgium Charleroi defeat french Orleans (55-53). Ludovic Vaty ('88) collected 3 points and 3 rebounds in 11 minutes for team coached by Phillipe Herve. Finally Le Mans beat Alba Berlin (61-60). Antoine Diot ('89) didn't play at a good level (2 points and 2 rebounds) for locals.
