I would like to speak about a young player who I had the pleasure of playing with for one season and I have played with many young players and against many young players with talent but one really stands out. I played with him in Panathinakos 2004/05 season, at the time he was just 22, but I knew him the previous years playing against him in Iraklis. He was one of the toughest young kids I have played against and when the club signed him I knew we would be a very good at the guard spot because he is a very tough defender, blocks shots, rebounds and had a very good shot, just fearless when he is on the court and would never back down against anyone. He is a great guy off the court but on the court he is every players nightmare because he never backs down: Dimitris Diamantidis ('80). For sure if he wanted he could have been in the NBA but he is just happy to be apart of the number 1 team in Europe for the last seven seasons. It was a shame that I didn't play more seasons with him because for me he will be one of the best players that played for Panathinaikos.
