After the announcement of CSKA Moscow to loan Alexey Shved ('88) to Dynamo now Maccabi Tel-Aviv decide to do the same with Gal Mekel ('88), who has been loaned to Galil/Gilboa. Team coached by former player Oded Katash is second in the league standings (5-1) behind Maccabi Tel-Aviv (6-0).

Former Wichita State (NCAA) guard has played 5 games in domestic competition this season, averaging 5.5 points and 2.5 assists in 15.3 minutes. The guard made a great Eurobasket last summer with Israel NT: 7.0 points and 3.7 rebounds, making a crazy game against Canada: 20 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal.
