Turkey and Spain will play today the final of the U-16 Iscar Tournament (Spain). Yesterday turkish beat Slovenia 75-54 with Tayfun Erülkü ('94) -at the pic- shining with 25 points and 4 rebounds. Burak Yildizli ('94) collected 13 points and 7 rebounds, while U-15 point-guard Kenan Sipahi ('95) finished with 13 points and 4 rebounds. For slovenians shined Filip Pesek-Omerdzel ('94) with 15 points.
In the other game of group B Italy crashed Castilla-Leon region 117-81. Matteo Imbrò ('94), the best italian scorer with 16 points.
In group A Spain qualyfied for the final after beating Russia 64-56, even the good job of Mikhail Kulaghin ('94) and Stanislav Ilnitskiy ('94), both with 15 points. At local side Kiko Jiménez ('94), from Real Madrid, collected 17 points and 8 rebounds, and Javier Marin ('94), from Zaragoza, 14 and 3 rebounds.
In the other game of group A Portugal beat Polonia (75-73). The great performance of Rafal Stefanek ('94) with 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists, not enough against a team with Diogo Ventura ('94) shining with 20 points (7/13 FG) and 7 rebounds.
Standings. Group A: Spain, (2-1), Russia (2-1), Portugal (1-2) and Poland (1-2). Group B: Turkey (3-0), Italy (2-1), Castilla-Leon (1-2) and Slovenia (0-3).
