Today started a new edition of the U-14 Champions Cup Tournament at Moscow (Russia), with the participation of some of the best youth european factories, like FMP Zeleznik and Sabonis Academy. From today till Wednesday Eurohopes will publish some details about the games, with players borned in 1995 and 1996. Today one of the attractions has been Carlo Zhganec, who led his team (Fenix Zagreb) to the victory over Sabonis School (86-70). The prospect collected 31 points (10/16 twos), 23 rebounds and 14 fouls drawn. His teammate Gordan Negovan also shined with 18 points. For lithuanians the bests players have been Jedvinas Sheshkus (14 points and 6 rebounds) and Aidas Kavaliauskas (10 points and 4 assists).

On the other game of group B Donetsk beat Grodno 79-58. For ukranians Vladlen Berezhnoi scored 15 points and grabbed 17 rebounds while Igor Boyarkin added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. At Belarus team Kiril Chumakov collected 19 points and 13 rebounds and his teammate Andrei Filippovic, 13 points.

Let's talk about group A. FMP Zeleznik started with a victory over Riga by 9 points (100-91). Nikola Rebic led serbians with 21 points (9/12 twos) and 5 assists, also helped by Dusan Ristic (19 points with 9/13 twos and 11 rebounds). The best latvians have been Davis Geks (21 points with 5/9 behind the arc) and Jorens Dylebskis (18 points and 7 assists). Finally russians of CSKA crashed Poznan (99-32) with Vyacheslav Fedorchenko collecting 19 points (9/15 twos) in 17 minutes and Nikita Tipcov scoring 16 points (7/14 twos) and grabbing 9 rebounds. For polish team, Simon Mikalik has been the best: 12 points and 19 rebounds.
