FMP Zeleznik won the 2009 edition of the U-14 Champion's Cup of Moscow after beating CSKA in the final (66-56). Serbians dominated the rebound (55 to 37), one of the keys of the victory. Point-guard Nikola Rebic ('95) led FMP with 19 points (8/10 twos) and 5 assists, while promising forward Dusan Ristic ('95) collected 10 points and 12 rebounds. For russians Vyacheslav Fedorchenko ('95) shined again with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 9 fouls drawn, but not enough to take the tittle. His teammate Konstantin Kulikov ('95) scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.

Croatians of Fenix Forex Zagreb finished third in the tournament after beating Sabonis Academy (54-51) with another exhibition of Carlo Zhganec ('95), with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Gordan Niegovan ('95) helped again with 19 points. At lithuanian side Pijus Mikolaitis ('95) finished as their best player: 12 points and 6 rebounds.

In the battle for the fifth place between Donetsk and Riga finally ukranians won 61-57 with a great Vlad Unigirian ('95): 15 points and 4 threes. For latvians Armags Ginters ('95) collected 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Finally, in the game to avoid the last position in the tournament standings, Grodno beat Poznan (45-42). Belarus team won led by Kiril Chumakov ('95), with 9 points and 15 rebounds. The best player of the worst team was Marek Valchak ('95): 9 points and 9 rebounds.

 

Final standings: 1-FMP, 2-CSKA, 3-Fenix, 4-Sabonis, 5-Donetsk, 6-Riga, 7-Grodno and 8-Poznan.
