Spain won the tittle of the U-18 Tournament of Barakaldo after beating Germany and Slovenia, this last team in the final played yesterday. In the semifinal, team coached by Juanan Orenga beat Germany 81-65 led by three players with 10 points: Carles Marzo ('92), Michel Acosta ('92) -at the pic- and Daniel Diez ('93). The best german prospect, Phillip Neumann ('92), finished as the best visitor scorer with 17.

In the final, spanish squad faced Slovenia, that eliminated Euskadi region team (67-77). But slovenians couldn't stop Spain, even Joan Tomas ('92) was injured, losing 63-62 with a very important offense rebound of Unicaja center Malick Fall ('92). Michel Acosta ('92) led the winners with 13 points, while golden boys Jaime Fernández ('93) and Daniel Diez ('93) -U-16 european champions- scored 12 each. For Slovenia guard Marko Pajic ('92) collected 18 and guard Matej Rojc ('93), 12.  

In the game for the third position Germany beat Euskadi easy (51-89) with Neumann scoring 18 for the winners.
