Jonathan Person ('93) has been the big name of the second day of the Baltic Sea Cup in Tallinn (Estonia). The guard led Sweden U-18 to the second victory of the tournament beating Latvia (90-83) with 31 points (9/15 twos, 2/2 threes and 7/10 free throws), 5 steals and 4 rebounds, even he made 8 turnovers. Forward Viktor Gaddefors ('92) added 14 with 5 steals. At latvian side Davis Bertans ('92) and Edmunds Dukulis ('92) scored 23 points each.

In the other game of the U-18 competition Estonia beat Finland (69-63) due to another great performance of guard Rannar Raap ('92), who collected 21 points and 4 steals. He was the only estonian who scored more than eight points. In the opposite side forward Kilian Cato ('92) scored 20 and grabbed 8 rebounds, while shooting-guard Osku Heinonen ('92) finished with 18 and 3 steals.

In the standings Sweden is first (2-0), below Latvia (1-1), Estonia (1-1) and Finland (0-2).

 

In the U-16 competition the four teams have a 1-1 balance after two days. Today Sweden beat Latvia (74-62), with Papy Ndiaye ('94) collecting 19 points with 3/6 behind the arc. For latvians Uvis Strogonovs ('94) scored 16 points and Oskars Reinfelds ('94) added 15, with 14 rebounds and 3 blocks. Finally Finland beat Estonia (64-77) with a great job of forward Johnny Laakkonen ('94), who finished with 21 points and 9 rebounds. The best estonian prospect was Henno Meidla ('94) with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.
