Sweden U-18 and Estonia U-16 have been the champions of the Baltic Sea Cup, played in Tallinn (Estonia). After the three days of competition swedish squad finished 3-0 in juniors, while locals made a 2-1 balance with youngsters. Sweden reamained unbeaten after winning today Finland (61-81), with a great job of Viktor Gaddefors ('92) -at the pic-, 19 points with 3/4 threes, and Marcus Eriksson ('93), 14 with 4/7 behind the arc. At finish side the best was shooting-guard Osku Heinonen ('92), who collected 18 with 3/8 at three points line. In the other game of the U-18 competition Latvia beat Estonia easy (91-63) due to a great performance of Edmunds Dukulis ('92), who scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Two estonian prospects collected 11 points each: Rannar Raap ('92) and Janari Joesaar ('93).

In the final standings Sweden is first (3-0) below Latvia (2-1), Estonia (1-2) and Finland (0-3).

 

Let's talk about U-16 competition. Estonia won the tournament with a key victory today over Latvia (57-81). Sander Saare ('94) led the winners with 13 points and 7 steals, while Aleksis Anijarv ('94) added 13 with 6/10 FG. For latvians Rihards Krastins ('94) collected 19 points, 10 rebounds and 1 block. Finally Sweden beat Finland (54-70) with Simon Ezra ('94) shining: 15 points and 10 rebounds in 21 minutes. Teemu Sulonen ('94), the best finish scorer with 17, even 2/11 behind the arc.

In the final standings Estonia is first (2-1) below Sweden (2-1), Latvia (1-2) and Finland (1-2).
