German Lucca Staiger ('88), from Iowa State, and turkish Dogus Balbay ('89), from Texas, faced each other in an NCAA game Wednesday. In the game played in Ames (Iowa) local squad lost 83-90 even the good job of Staiger, who finished with 17 points and 4/9 threes. Turkish guard also shined for the winners: 6 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds.
At the same night romanian Vlad Moldoveanu ('88) -from American University- collected 19 points with 4/9 behind the arc and 13 rebounds in the losing effort at Bucknell (72-68).
Great performance of latvian Rihards Kuksiks ('88), from Arizona State, last Thursday. The prospect led his team to the victory at Oregon (57-76) with 25 points and 4/6 threes.
Another german player made an amazing game Thursday: Elias Harris ('89). The forward of Gonzaga -at the pic- led Bulldogs to the victory at Saint Mary's (82-89) after collecting 31 points and 13 rebounds.
Swedish Jeff Taylor ('89) also shined with his team, Vanderbilt, in this case at Alabama (64-65). The prospect scored 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
