Jonas Valanciunas ('92) will replace Dejan Borovnjak in Lietuvos Rytas roster. Team coached by Rimas Kurtinaitis took this decision due to the poor job of the serbian. The lithuanian prospect was loaned to another team of LKL division, Perlas, where he was averaging 11.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in a bit more than 21 minutes.

In an interview to BasketNews.lt Valanciunas explains that he "is very surprised. I didn't expect to move so soon to Lietuvos first team. I am not afraid". The 2.10 center was recently named MVP of the second Nike International Junior Tournament of the Euroleague at Hospitalet (Spain).
