France surprised today Turkey in the semifinals of U-16 Turk Telekom Tournament in Konya (Turkey) and they will play the final against Serbia. French squad won (53-73), an impressive result against locals. Guard Anthony Racine ('94) -at the pic- led the winners with 19 points with 5/15 behind the arc, and center Mouhammadou Jaiteh ('94), from Nanterre, added 17 pulling down 11 rebounds. Great tournament of the unbeaten France (5-0), in this case beating a team with Tayfun Erulku ('94) nailing 20 points and grabbing 8 rebounds, the only turkish scoring more than 8 points. Forward Burak Yildizli ('94) struggled: 8 points with 3/10 FG.

In the other semifinal Serbia qualifyied for the final arriving also with a 5-0 record. Today, 65-85 over Poland with forward Nikola Jankovic ('94) shining again: 23 points and 14 rebounds in 28 minutes. Guard Nikola Radicevic ('94) added 15 with 2/4 threes. At polish side guard Daniel Szymkiewicz ('94) made a bit of everything: 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 7 steals, but 6 turnovers.

In another game fighting for the 5th to the 8th spot Italy beat Slovenia (72-62) with guard Matteo Imbro ('94) scoring 21 points with 4/7 threes. The best slovenian was guard Rok Cindric ('94) with 12 and 3 rebounds.

Finally German beat Greece 20-0.
