Olimpija Ljubljana won the fourth and last Euroleague's Nike International Junior Tournament of the season, held in London, after beating USK Future Stars (76-60). Center Gezim Morina ('92) -at the pic- was named the Tournament's MVP after a great performance in the final, leading slovenian squad with 28 points (4/6 threes), 11 rebounds and 1 steal. Klemen Prepelic ('93) added 12 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds. For czech team shined guard Michal Sotnar ('92), with 20 points and 3 assists, and Jaroslav Moravek ('92) with a double-double (11 points and 10 rebounds).
The All-Tournament team includes in addition to the MVP Morina also his teammate Jan Span ('92), Future Stars center Ondrej Balvin ('92), Barking Abbey prospect Josh Johnson ('92) and Maccabi's guard Tomer Bar Even ('92).
Olimpija qualifyied for the final after beating Barking Abbey (70-76) in semifinals. Morina (18 points, 10 rebounds and 2 steals) and Span (15 with 3/6 threes and 5 rebounds) led slovenian victory. For english squad Raphell Thomas-Edwards ('93) fought with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 2 steals.
USK Future Stars made the same after winning Maccabi Tel-Aviv (66-76). Guard Tomas Kyzlink ('93) nailed 19 points with 5/10 threes and Sotnar added 14 with 5 assists for winners. The best israelian? Tomer Bar Even ('92) finished with 29 points with 12/21 FG.
In the battle for the fifth spot Biella beat Khimki (92-101) with an amazing game of youngster Niccolo de Vico ('94), with 36 points (11/13 FG and 10/12 FT), 4 rebounds and 1 steal. Too much for russians. The best prospect of losers was forward Alexander Zakharov ('93) with a double-double (14 points and 14 rebounds).
Finally Zadar finished as the worst tournament's team after losing against Gran Canaria (76-103). Jonay Cazorla ('92) led the spaniards with 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists, while the best croatian was Emilio Banic ('93): 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.
