Rumanian forward Vlad Moldoveanu ('88), from American University (NCAA), has been named First Team All-Patriot League, becoming American's ninth student-athlete to earn the honor. Moldoveanu has averaged 19.5 points in 20 appearances this season, marking the highest single-season scoring average for an Eagle since 2002-03. He also ranks second on the team with 6.5 rebounds, is third with 2.1 assists and has played a team-high 33.0 minutes per contest. The junior did all this while shooting 46.9 percent from the field, 40.0 percent from three and 81.2 percent from the line.
"Vlad has had an outstanding season thus far and is certainly deserving of this recognition," Head Coach Jeff Jones commented. "While his stats are impressive, Vlad's greatest contribution has been his ability to make his teammates better.", according to the college web site.
