Euroleague sent to the clubs the lists of candidates to define this year Best Defensive Player award and Best Young Player award. Between the nominees we can find some prospects:

-Ricky Rubio ('90, Barcelona): Best Defensive Player Award and Rising Star Award.

-Patrick Beverley ('88, Olympiakos): Rising Star Award.

-Bojan Bogdanovic ('89, Cibona): Rising Star Award.

-Martynas Gecevicius ('88, Lietuvos): Rising Star Award.

-Augusto Lima ('91, Unicaja): Rising Star Award.

-Jan Vesely ('90, Partizan) -at the pic-: Rising Star Award.

Best Defensive Player Award and the Best Young Player Award will be decided at the end of the Play-offs, where the athletic performance of each player will be assessed for the Regular Season, the Top 16, and the Play-offs. In order to choose the Best Defensive Player Award coaches must vote on three players from a list of 11 players awarding a ranking of 3, 2, and 1 points respectively. Best Young Player Award list consists of the players who were born after 01/07/1987.
