The great game of Zygimantas Janavicius ('89) wasn't enough for Zalgiris, and FMP Zeleznik won the final of the U-20 Vilagarcia Cup after beating lithuanian squad (67-78). Serbians completed a perfect tournament (3-0), with guard Nikola Vukasovic ('91) -golden boy last summer in Metz- remembering his shows when he was U-16 and U-18. The prospect led FMP against Zalgiris with 23 points (3/6 threes), 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Beside him Nikola Markovic ('89) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks, while Ivan Smiljanic ('89) nailed 14 with 4 rebounds and 4 steals. For team coached by Gvidonas Markevicius Janavicius made a 29 valoration due to 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Estonian Siim-Sander Vene ('90) also made a good job: 14 points and 5 rebounds, even 0/5 behind the arc. The 17-27 of the third quarter, they key of the win.
Ukranians of Budivelnyk finished third after winning DKV Joventut (60-79). Montenegrin Marko Todorovic ('92) impressed everybody with 17 points, 20 rebounds and 3 assists, but he couldn't take his team to the victory. Ivan Bylitskyi ('89) finished as the best scorer of the winners with 23 points and 7/15 threes.
Finally serbians of Mega Vizura beat Asefa Estudiantes (74-59), finishing fifth in the tournament. Stevan Jelovac ('89) didn't waste his time, and in only 16 minutes he scored 15 points and pulled down 8 rebounds, while center Nikola Maravic ('89) added 15 and 9 rebounds. Sergio Llorente ('90) nailed 15 points. The rebound-battle, the key (45-29).
