Findlay Prep, from Henderson (Nevada), won for second year in a row the ESPN Rise National High School Invitation after beating Montverde Academy, from Florida (59-46). The tournament was played in Coppin State, Baltimore. Thomas Laerke ('91) -at the pic- and Marko Petrovic ('91) won the title, with the danish scoring 4 points and the croatian making a great job on defense and adding 5 points. For Montverde icelandic Haukur Palsson ('92) didn't score.

According to a Ronnie Flores article in ESPN, Findlay Prep, ranked No. 5 in the latest ESPN RISE FAB 50, will likely finish No. 3 or No. 4 in the final FAB 50 set to be released early next week. Yates (Houston, Texas) has all but locked up the top spot and current No. 2 St. John Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia) suffered only a one-point loss to Yates in December.
