Many years ago Ferdinando Gentile ('67) was part of a great generation of italian players, showing his basketball in teams like Caserta, Milano and also Panathianikos. But now his last name is still alive on the courts, with his son Alessandro Gentile ('92) growing in Benetton Treviso. Last week-end the youngster played his best game of this season at senior level with team coached by Jasmin Repesa, even they lost easy against Pepsi Caserta (90-66), where he -and his father- borned (maybe motivation?). The guard nailed 23 points (5/6 twos, 4/6 threes and 1/1 ft), pulled down 3 rebounds and had 1 steal in 26 minutes.

Also at Bennetton lithuanian Donatas Motiejunas ('90), who has declared early entry for next NBA draft according to Draftexpress, scored 8 points, grabbed 8 boards and put 1 block. For local squad youngsters had their chance due to the score difference: Salvatore Parrillo ('92) played 2 minutes (1 rebound), Antonio Zamo ('91) played 1' (2 points with 1/1 FG) and finally Antonio Cardinale ('91) also 1' (0/1 threes). Benetton is struggling on the standings. They are ninth with a 12-13 record. They need to fight to make the play-offs.
