This week-end, in Göttingen (Germany), the best four teams of the current season in the EuroChallenge will play the Final Four of the competition. Roanne (France), Krasnye (Russia), Scavolini (Italy) and local squad will try to repeat the performances of last winners: Virtus Bologna (2009), Barons (2008) and CB Girona (2007). But the youth generations won't enjoy of important minutes in the games (Krasnye-Scavolini and Roanne-Göttingen will be the semifinals). Let's check the best prospect of each team.
-Artem Yakovenko (Krasnye, '88): the 2.06 forward has only played five games in the competition, averaging 1.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 9 minutes. He arrived in December from Saratov, where last season he had 10.4 points and 6.1 rebounds finishing as the second best blocker of russian second division (1.2).
-Giovanni Tomassini (Scavolini, '88), at the pic: the 1.86 point-guard has played a bit more, nailing 3.0 points with a 36% behind the arc in 12 minutes. In the domestic competition he averages less stats (1.6 with 30%). Last year he was loaned to LegaDue (3.1 points and 1.3 assists).
-Tobias Welzer (Göttingen, '90): with nine american players in the roster the youngster have little chances to play. Welzer, a 1.83 point-guard, has played only five games: 0.3 rebounds in 3.0 minutes. In Germany averages 0.4 points in 1.4 minutes.
-Namory Boundy (Roanne, '89): the 2.02 center has played 7 minutes in all the competition, nailing 0.8 points and 0.3 steals. In domestic competition, the same: 5 games, 1.4 points and 1.2 rebounds.
