Amazing performance of Christophe Leonard ('90) today in Poitiers in the french Espoirs Trophée du Futur. But not enough. Cholet, first of the final standings, faced Lyon-Villeurbanne in one of the semifinals of the tournament, and the forward broke the stats, but they lost 80-84 after an overtime. The prospect poured 37 points (6/11 twos, 6/11 threes and 7/13 ft), grabbed 9 rebounds and had 11 fouls drawn. Not bad. Youngster Rudy Gobert ('92) also shined for Cholet: 10 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks in 27'. Lyon-Villeurbanne qualifyied for the final with shooting-guard Jerome Sanchez ('90) scoring 17 points and grabbing 6 boards, while Paul Lacombe ('90) had 14 points, 11 assists, 6 rebounds and 4 steals, even he made 5/20 FG.

In the other semifinal Paris-Levallois beat Le Havre (60-58). Giovan Oniangue ('91) scored 14 points and pulled down 8 rebounds, leading the winners. His teammate Bienvenu Mbida ('90) also finished as one of the important pieces of the victory with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 1 block. NBA Draft early-entry Sarra Camara ('89) wasn't enough even he collected a double-double (15+14). Fabien Paschal ('91) added 17 with 7/11 FG.

The game between Lyon-Villeurbanne and Paris-Levallois will be played tomorrow at 15.00h.
