ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne is the new champion of the Espoirs Trophée du Futur, held from Friday till today in Poitiers. Paul Lacombe ('90) -at the pic- has been named MVP of the tournament after leading his squad to the title. It hasn't been easy for them. In the final needed to fight to beat Paris-Levallois (64-61). Lacombe finished as the best scorer of winners with 15 points (4/12 twos, 1/4 threes and 4/4 ft), adding 8 rebounds and 4 steals, while NBA Draft Early-entry Bangaly Fofana ('89) nailed 11 pulling down 8 boards and putting 4 blocks in only 20 minutes.
For Paris-Levallois Jonathan Leria ('90) poured 15 points with 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Giovan Oniangue ('91) also made a good job with 11, 4 rebounds and 4 steals.
