Montepaschi Siena and Virtus Bologna -its logo at the pic- will play today the big final of the U-19 italian final round championshio, held this week in Bologna. Both teams qualifyied for it after winning their respective semifinals contests. Montepaschi beat Benetton Treviso (68-72) with georgian center Nika Metreveli ('90) leading the winners with 18 points (2/2 threes), 14 rebounds and 1 block. Power-forward Antonio Iannuzzi ('91) added 17 points, 12 boards and 3 assists. For Treviso squad shined youngster Alessandro Gentile ('92) with 19 points even 1/11 from downtown. 2.24 center Samuel Deguara ('91), from Malta, made a double-double: 10 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks.

 

In the other semifinal Virtus Bologna, playing at home, eliminated Bergamo (69-82). Five players of local group scored in double-figures, with guard Mario Chiusolo ('91) nailing 18 with 4/4 behind the arc. Forward Marco Planezio ('91) wasn't enough for Orobica with 20 and 8 boards. Roberto Marulli ('91), from Bergamo, finished as the best valorated of the game: 19 points, 8 assists, 5 steals and 4 rebounds.
