Virtus Bologna is the new U-19 italian champion after beating Montepaschi Siena, the main favorite, in the final (68-59). Team coached by Giordano Consolini was led by guard Michele Vitali ('91), with 20 points (4/8 threes), 8 rebounds and 1 block, while Claudio Tommasini ('91) added 11 with 2/4 from downtown and Filippo Baldi Rossi ('91) nailing 5 points, pulling down 13 rebounds and putting 1 block. Siena lost its second final in a row even the good job of youngster Diego Monaldi ('93) -17 with 3/9 threes- and georgian Nika Metreveli ('91), with 14 points, 15 boards and 1 steal.
In the game for the third place Orobica Bergamo beat Benetton Treviso easy (88-71). forward Marco Planezio ('91) led the winners with a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 steals). At Treviso's squad argentinian-italian Augustin Fabi ('91) collected a 26 valoration: 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists.
