Yesterday started a new edition of the U-16 spanish final round championship, in this case held in Durango till Sunday. Two african prospects became the big names of this opener, showing again their leadership in youth tournaments in Spain. Mamadou N'Diaye ('94) led Gran Canaria to the win over Fuenlabrada with 29 points (11/17 FG), 15 rebounds, 4 blocks and 41 valoration. In another game Placide Nakidjim ('94) -at the pic- wasn't enough for Lugo to beat Real Madrid even he collected a 34 valoration: 25 points (11/23 FG), 22 rebounds and 2 blocks. -Real Madrid 82 Lugo 66: African Placide Nakidjim ('94) wasn't enough for Lugo even he collected a double 20 (25 points and 22 boards). Carlos Padilla ('94) led the winners with 25 points (10/14 FG) and 9 boards.

Group B:

-Valladolid 48 Joventut Badalona 77: Youngster Agustí Sans ('95) flirted with the tiple-double for catalan squad (9 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists in 25'). Millan López ('94), the best of Valladolid with 9 points, 7 boards and 2 assists.

Standings: Joventut (1-0), Valladolid (0-1) and Valencia (0-0). 

 

Group C:

-Barcelona 68 Unicaja 59: Guard Josep Pérez ('94) led catalans with 21 points and 4/8 from downtown, while Alberto Diaz ('94) wasn't enough for the opponent even he finished with 17 and 6 boards.

Standings: Barcelona (1-0), Unicaja (0-1) and Alicante (0-0). 

 

Group D:

-Gran Canaria 81 Fuenlabrada 52: Senegalese Mamadou N'Diaye ('94) broke the stats for canarians (29 points and 15 rebounds). At the other side forward Alejandro Doblado ('94) poured 13 points pulling down 6 boards.
