Three tournaments started today in France (Evry), Italy (Martinsicuro) and Germany (Hamburg), with many teams preparing their official championships of this summer. What prospects are shining? What teams started winning? We'll take a look.

 

-Evry (France): Greece crashed Germany (56-81) in the opener of the U-20 Euroessonne Tournament. For germans the best scorers were Simon Schmitz ('90) with 11 and Maurice Stuckey ('90) with 10. Guard Nikolaos Pappas ('90) -at the pic- led the winners with 19 points, while Leonidas Kaselakis ('90) added 12 and Vladimir Jankovits ('90) 11. In the other contest of the day France hosted Slovenia, with local victory (64-55) and Christophe Leonard ('90) shining.     

 

-Martinsicuro (Italy): Local team started hard the U-20 tournament after winning Czech Republic easy (84-66). Andrea Giampaoli ('90) poured 15 points, while Stefano Crotta ('90) added 11 and Giacomo Sanguinetti ('90), 10. In the other game Holland beat Montenegro (60-57) with a great performance of Charlon Kloof ('90) with 18 points. Also helped Mohamed Kherazzi ('90) with 9 and Jessey Voorn ('90) with 7.

 

-Hamburg (Germany): Serbia U-17 and Bosnia & Herzegovina U-18 played the first contest of the ING-DiBA Junior Cup, with final victory for serbians (92-74). Guard Nenad Miljenovic ('93) led the winners with 17 points, helped by Luka Mitrovic ('93), with 14, and Nemanja Bezbradica ('93), with 12. In the other game of the day Germany U-17 beat Sweden U-18 (75-61) with a great performance of Besnek Bekteshi ('93) and Paul Albrecht ('93), with 11 and 10 points. For swedish Sebastian Norman ('92) nailed 15 and Charles Barton ('92) 14.
