Montepaschi Siena is the new U-17 italian champion after beating Blu Orobica Bergamo in the final played this afternoon in Vasto (53-84). Diego Monaldi ('93) -at the pic- was unstoppable, leading the easy win with 27 points (10/18 FG and 7/11 FT), 8 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists. His teammate Camillo Bianchi ('94) added 15 points (7/8 twos) and 9 boards. For Orobica Tommaso Carnovali ('93) poured 17, with 5/15 FG.

 

In the game for the final third position Virtus Siena beat Junior Libertas (74-79). Gianmarco Olleia ('93) -21 points and 8 boards- and Amedeo Tessitori ('94) -16 points and 17 rebounds- led the victory. At Junior Libertas side Amedeo Della Valle ('93) scored 15 and grabbed 12 rebounds, but 0/9 from dowtown.
