Montenegrin Nikola Mirotic ('91) made his debut yesterday with the U-20 spanish national team after getting his new passport some weeks ago. And the Real Madrid prospect shined in a great level leading the squad coached by Juan Antonio Orenga to the victory over Czech Republic (93-67) in the first day of the Arganda Tournament, in Spain. The power-forward poured 24 points and pulled down 5 rebounds, becoming the main reference of the spaniards. Beside him other local prospects made a good job, like Joan Sastre ('91) with 12 points and Nacho Llovet ('91) and Álex Hernández ('90) with 10. At Czech Republic side the best scorer was David Jelinek ('90), who plays for DKV Joventut, with 19 points. Ondrej Kohout ('91), who signed some days ago by Alta Gestion Fuenlabrada, added 16, and Tomas Satoransky ('91) -also playing in Spain (Sevilla) nailed 12.
In the other contest of the tournament Lithuania beat France in a tied battle (57-56). Eimantas Bendzius ('90), from Lietuvos Rytas, scored 9 points leading the winners, while Adomas Drungilas ('90) added 8. Best french was Christophe Leonard ('90) with 15. Andrew Albicy ('90) poured 12.
