The croatian city of Makarska hosts this week-end an interesting U-20 tournament that started yesterday. Next Thursday is the opener of the Division "A" European Championship in Croatia, so the squads are close to their debut. Greece, the current U-20 champion, struggled yesterday against locals, losing 77-61. Cibona center Leon Radosevic ('90) led the win with 19 points in 26 minutes, helped by Ivan Batur ('91) with 16 and 2 assists. At Greece side Kostas Sloukas ('90) poured 15 and Nikolaos Pappas ('90) added 12. But weren't enough.
In the other game of the day Italy beat Turkey (73-68). Ghanian-italian Paul Biligha ('90) finished as the best scorer of winners with 11 points, while youngster Alessandro Gentile ('92) added 9. And at turkish side? Even they seem to have better "names" they couldn't win. Ilkan Karaman ('90) scored 13 pulling down 8 rebounds, while Birkan Batuk ('90) poured 11.
