Another edition of the U-15 Friendship Tournament started yesterday in Orleans (France) with four teams competing to be the best. Spain, Italy, France and Greece will meet till tomorrow in this competition. In this first day shined over the best Real Madrid's power-forward Javier de la Blanca ('95), who crashed the greeks leading Spain's win (84-65). The prospect collected a 35 valoration with 25 points (10/13 twos and 5/5 FT), 12 rebounds and 1 steal. Team coached by Jose Silva struggled in the first quarter (15-21) but recovered with a great team job. Beside De la Blanca also shined Ander Martinez ('95) with 11 points and 4/5 FG and David Iriarte ('95) with 10 and 2/3 from downtown. What happened at greek squad? Mihalis Liapis ('95) poured 19 points (4/6 threes) pulling down 3 boards, while Anastasios Spiropoulos ('95) added 16 with 5 rebounds but 7/17 FG.
And the other game? France started well the tournament beating Italy (68-59) with Etienne Joumard ('95) leading the win with a complete contest: 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals for a 20 valoration. Beside him Paul Rigot ('95) added 10 points with 4/7 FG and 8 boards. Team coached by Stanislas Hacquart finished with bad percentages (40% twos, 13% threes and 50% FT), but enough to add its first victory. For italians Marco Spissu ('95) made a good job finishing as the most valorated of his team with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 steals. 1.88 guard Enrico Melli ('95) poured 16 points but with 4/17 FG. Italians finished with a crazy 26% shooting.
