Poland will play today against USA in the big final of the U-17 World Championship held in Hamburg (Germany). The polish team eliminated Lithuania yesterday in the semifinals (65-75) after recovering from a bad start. Mateusz Ponitka ('93) -at the pic- was the leader again with 22 points and 8/12 FG, but other teammates shined. Przemek Karnowski ('93) collected another double-double (his fifth in Hamburg) with 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists, while Tomasz Gielo ('93) had 12 with 5/11 FG. For baltic squad Mantas Mockevicius ('93) battled as usually, but wasn't enough even scoring 24 points with 11/15 FG. Beside him guard Rokas Narkevicius ('93) scored 12 but with 4/17 FG. USA qualyfied for the final after beating Canada (83-103).

-Argentina 66 Spain 56: Spaniards finished tenth in the championship after losing, with Daniel Diez ('93), from Real Madrid, as the only player with double-figures (13 points with 6/9 twos). Guard Luis Conde ('93) added 9 points with 3/4 FG. Amazing last quarter of Argentina (19-4).

-China 66 Australia 68.

-Germany 51 Serbia 67: With another great last quarter (9-20) serbians won with the best game of Nenad Miljenovic ('93) in Hamburg. The guard scored 31 points with 7 rebounds and 6 steals. Luka Mitrovic ('91) collected a double-double (14 points and 10 rebounds). For germans shined serbian-borned Bogdan Radosavljevic ('93) with 11 points and 6 rebounds, while Besnik Bekteshi ('93) added 11 with 4 boards.
