Germany is preparing its participation in the U-18 Division "A" European Championship, that will be held in Vilnius (Lithuania). Team coached by Kay Blümel has finished with a 1-2 record in the slovenian tournament of Skofja Loka, beating hosts and losing against Montenegro and Israel. In the opener Germany lost against Montenegro (85-76). Forward Patrick Heckmann ('92) scored 17 points, Dennis Kramer ('92) 16 and Martin Breunig ('92) 15. In the second day they beat Slovenia (73-77). The best scorers of the win were Mathis Mönninghoff ('92) with 14 and three players more with 12: Heckmann, Philipp Neumann ('92) and Mario Blessing ('92). Finally they were victim of Israel (60-67), even Breunig with 14 and Ole Wendt ('92) -at the pic- with 13.
