Some days ago in Andorra, a small country between Spain and France, was held a new edition of the U-16 Division "C" European Championship, with eight teams fighting for a title that finally won Cyprus. eventhough one of the big names of the tournament was coming from Malta: Aaron Falzon ('96). Two years younger than most of the players the 1.98 forward played an amazing tournament, but his team struggled finishing sixth. He averaged 19.6 points (44% FG and 51% FT), 19.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists. But where he comes from?
Falzon, borned in USA but with maltese family, is currently playing in Newton North Expressions, an AAU team in Massachusetts. In Andorra crashed the stats being the second best scorer and the best rebounder. Another huge player from Malta is shining in Treviso with Benetton youth teams. 2.24 center Samuel Deguara is the other maltese sensation.
