Eurohopes travelled today to Slovenia to follow on live the U-14 BAM tournament in Slovenj Gradec, with six national teams competing: Estonia, FYROM, Croatia, Spain, Slovenia Blue and Slovenia Green. After a long trip we are already in the small city, ready to update you about the games and what we'll see from tomorrow to Sunday. Monday we go back home. How has been our day? Check it.
The long trip started at home, waking up at 4am. Like our summer breaks to USA (basiclly Las Vegas) we started eating a fruit salad at the airport. Austrian Airlines has been the company we travelled with this time, with waltz music during the trip to calm the nervous people. Vienna was our first destination, and even we were a bit late we finally arrived some minutes before the schedule. With more than one hour time we had time to find the gate with Klagenfurt written at the top. But before entering, we took our second breakfast after buying some fridge-magnets. Not a lot of people waiting in the gate but the female team of Israel -going to the BAM also- filled part of the flight, a 50 seats propeller flight. Once we landed in Klagenfurt, close to the border with Slovenia, we took a bus, making a 90km ride till Slovenj Gradec, our destination, between a lot of mountains through small roads. Eurohopes arrived to the hotel at lunch time: salad, meat with rice, and ice cream. Not bad. We touched the glory when we found a wifi hotspot beside the hotel (even there was an available one at the hotel also, but packed due to the players). We checked our room and after we went to see where the gyms were. Not far from the hotel. Nice. We saw spanish NT practicing. They have a tall squad, but we will see how they play. After that we went to the other gym, where most of the male games will be played. A handball contest was played at that moment. Better going back to the hotel.
The small town is surrounded by a lot of mountains at the four sides. At the moment we don't see a lot of people, but we received good news from a mall builded during last year. Good to know. Our hotel has two stars, but there is a place for a third. We suppose it fell or they lost it. Not big buildings in town. Tomorrow, more.
