Great performances of the youngsters in the opener of the World Championship of Turkey, with french point-guard Andrew Albicy ('90) being an important piece of the win over Spain (72-66), one of the favorites. The prospect of Paris-Levallois, MVP of last U-20 EC, poured 13 points (2/3 threes) in 26 minutes. His teammate Edwin Jackson ('89) played 2 minutes. For spaniards Ricky Rubio ('90) had 6 points, 3 assists and 3 steals.

 

Eventhough Croatia was crashed by USA (106-78) small-forward Bojan Bogdanovic ('89) finished as the best scorer at the european side with 17 points (5/8 threes) and 4 rebounds.

 

Another team that hadn't problems was Serbia, crashing Angola (44-94). Milan Macvan ('89) scored 11 points (5/7 FG) and grabbed 6 boards.

-Greece 89 China 81: Nick Calathes ('89) poured 2 points pulling down 1 rebound in 10'.

-Germany 74 Argentina 78: Tibor Pleiss ('89) ended with 12 points with 5/7 twos in 16', while Elias Harris ('89) had 6 (2/4 FG) in 18 minutes. Robin Benzing ('89) added 5 points with 4 rebounds in 19' and Philipp Schwethelm ('89) scored 3 points and dished 1 assist in 7'
