Ryan Richards ('91) surprised all the scouts last May in the NBA Combine, held in Chicago (article). The english forward finished last season in Switzerland (Monthey) after playing with the second team of Gran Canaria (ACB), the club that has his rights. In the NBA Draft he was picked at number 49 by San Antonio Spurs. After that, the dream of the NBA was closer for him. But at the moment he must wait. When he was getting ready for the Summer League of Las Vegas he got injured in one shoulder and was operated on it. He missed the competition. But that's not all.

 

When he was recovering he injured the other one last week. Right, the other shoulder. Now the NBA franchise asked again to Gran Canaria to manage another operation. The prospect will be operated next days in USA. Before all this Richards has been suffering different problems in his shoulders for many months.
