FC Barcelona beat Real Madrid after an overtime in the final of the U-16 Las Palmas Tournament, held in Canary Islands (99-89). Team coached by Marc Calderon was led by point-guard Bernat Camarasa ('95), who finished with a 38 valoration: 31 points (11/16 FG and 8/11 FT), 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Beside him shined Carlos Barrera ('95) with 22 points (3/7 threes) and 7 boards. White squad was stopped in the overtime (15-5) even the good performance of guard Alberto Gil ('95) -32 points (12/20 FG) and 2 rebounds- and Javier de la Blanca ('94), 19 points, 12 boards and 3 steals.
Gran Canaria ended the tournament third after beating Canterbury (75-45). Guard Joaquin Portugues ('95) led the win with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 steals in only 21 minutes. At the other side Jonathan Kasibabu ('96) didn't play. The african center made crazy contests during the tournament (as usually), like 27 points and 21 rebounds against hungarians of Vasas or 32+19 over Real Madrid.
