Domantas Sabonis ('96) was named the MVP of the U-15 Fundacion Leucemia y Linfoma tournament, held last week-end in Madrid. The 1.92 forward, son of Arvydas, led Unicaja Malaga to the title after winning DKV Joventut in the final (71-59). Sabonis scored 16 points and pulled down 11 boards for a 26 valoration. In the game for the third position Real Madrid beat Real Canoe (83-64), while Espacio Torrelodones ended fifth after winning Asefa Estudiantes (66-54).

 

Sabonis was selected in the All-Tournament Team with Fran Suarez ('96) from Real Madrid, Omar Gatto ('96) from Real Canoe, Pablo Pérez ('97) from Asefa Estudiantes and Xavi Moreno ('96) from DKV Joventut.
