FMP Zeleznik started the Nike International Junior Tournament with two easy wins over Alba Berlin (+45) and Partizan (+19). Beside rising star Nenad Miljenovic ('93) another player made big impact in the opener: Stefan Popovski-Turanjanin ('93). The forward has averaged 25.0 points (73% twos, 43% threes and 69% ft), 8.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 31.5 ranking in only 26 minutes. Eurohopes staff contacted him. "I think that this is a very good tournament, with very strong teams. We played two nice games today and I'm glad we won".

 

The prospect adds that "as a team we are really happy and we hope that we will play better tomorrow". He is also surprised about Red Star victory over INSEP: "With Cvetkovic is another team. He is the key of their win".

 

Aleksandar Cvetkovic ('93) played last week-end his first season's game with the junior team, collecting a triple-double. He usually plays with senior big team. This Sunday he will be in the Pionir battle against Jan Vesely's Partizan.
