The battle for a spot in next Euroleague's edition is still open, with the Eurocup quarterfinals already set and some prospects trying to reach the great award with their teams. Let's take a look to each matchup, with the best youngsters of each squad.

 

Unics Kazan (RUS) - Pepsi Caserta (ITA): Two russian teams are between the best eight of the EuroChallenge, and another one in the Eurocup. In this case squad coached by Evgeny Pashutin -first in their domestic league- made it to the quarterfinals with no prospects on the roster. And for Caserta? Point-guard Domenico Marzaioli ('91) played three games: 0.3 rebounds and 0.3 steals in 3 minutes.

 

Budivelnik (UKR) - Cajasol Sevilla (SPA): The leader in Ukraine, and with a spanish coach (Josep Maria Berrocal), will try to earn a spot in the Final 4 of Treviso with guard Denys Lukashov ('89) -landed last summer from Kyiv- averaging 3.7 points and 1.8 assists in 14'. For spaniards czech Tomas Satoransky ('91) -at the pic- has an important role (7.3p+3.7a+3.1r), while Joan Sastre ('91) adds 2.5p+1.3r in 9'.

 

Asefa Estudiantes (SPA) - Cedevita (CRO): Another spanish team trying to reach the best 4 with interesting prospects. Jayson Granger ('89), from Uruguay, is averaging 5.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.3 rebounds, while youngster Jaime Fernández ('93) also shines when he has an opportunity: 4.0 points and 55% FG in 10'. And at croatian side? Guard Dino Butorac ('90) is the only prospect, with 2.0 points in 7'.

 

Benetton Treviso (ITA) - Goettingen (GER): Lithuanian rising star Donatas Motiejunas ('90) will be one of the attractions of the quarterfinals, behind a great performance this season in the competition: 11.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 27 minutes. Beside him Alessandro Gentile ('92) has 7.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in 18', while polish 2.11 center Jakub Wojciechowski ('90) adds 4.6 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8'. For Goettingen, tenth in their domestic league, no prospects with minutes.
