Tevin Falzon ('92) born in Boston and plays at Newton North H.S. like other American young player. But his paternal grandparents were natives of Malta, an European island nearby to Italy. He had the chance to play two years ago with the national Maltese team at under 18 European Championship, and really enjoyed that experience after averaging double digits in both points and rebounds while captured the gold medal of division C Championship. That adventure made that his younger brother Aaron Falzon (’96) -at the pic- would want to play also with Malta team. Last summer, Aaron averaged 19.6 points, 19.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists at under 16 division C European Championship.

Both brothers play together for the Tigers of Newton North H.S. (Massachusetts) and last week their season finished  abruptly. After a hard campaign for Tevin due a dislocated left wrist injury, he was ready for last four games of the season and tournament contests. Newton North arrived to Division 1 South final against Mansfield but lost in a heartbreaking finish 48-46 with a great effort of Tevin with 14 points and 17 rebounds. Aaron finished scoreless this final game. During the season, Aaron scored double digits sometimes even in his varsity debut. Afterwards Tevin told to Wicked Local Newton about his feelings playing with his brother: “We connected a few times, not really in this game, but we connected a few times in the playoff run. It’s just nice. I’m not gonna get this chance again. We’re real close, so it was definitely special.”
