Croatia U-16 won this week-end the "U-18 April 6th Sarajevo Tournament", played in the Bosnia and Herzegovina capital organized by KK Kos. Croatians beat the U-18 bosnian squad of OKK Spars in the big final (73-71) due to a great performance of Mario Hezonja ('95), at the pic. The forward scored 27 points and was named the MVP. In the losing effort Adin Vrabac ('94) -best tournament scorer (24.5)- nailed 23. 2.08 Djoko Salic ('95), also made a great tournament for Spars: 14.8 points per game and 19 in the final.
Team coached by Ante Nazor reached the big final after beating Fenerbahce (98-78) and Bosnia and Herzegovina U-16 (53-86).
Final standings: 1-Croatia U-16, 2-Spars, 3-KK Bosna, 4-Bosnia and Herzegovina U-16, 5-Fenerbahce, 6-KK Olimpija, 7-Buducnost, 8-KK Kos.
