The U-19 Slovenian Final Four was held this week-end in Domzale, with the best four teams of the country competing for the trophy. And the award went to local squad (Helios) after beating Geoplin Slovan in the final (89-101) behind and amazing performance of 1.90 guard Klemen Prepelic ('92), who won the MVP also. The Slovenian prospect collected a 58 efficiency leading his team to the win with 41 points (7/8 twos, 3/8 threes and 18/20 ft), 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 11 fouls drawn. Beside him also shined Miljan Markovic ('92) -16 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals- and Aljaz Korosec ('92), 16 points, 4 assists and 3 boards. And at the losing effort? Marko Pajic ('92) had 23 points, 12 rebounds and 2 steals and youngster Luka Rupnik ('93) 21 with 5/7 from downtown.

 

In the game for the third final position Zlatorog beat Olimpija Ljubljana (72-82) with a good job from Alen Omic ('92) -23 points and 9 rebounds-, Miha Lapornik ('93) -20 points and 7 boards- and Jaka Brodnik ('92) -20 points and 6 rebounds-. For Ljubljana team Gezim Morina ('92) nailed 31 points with 5/8 threes and Dorde Micic ('93) added 16 (7/13 twos).

 

Eurohopes staff contacted Prepelic after his show: "It has been unbelievable. The fans have been crazy. Has been a nice game. The victory is of all the team, not only me".
