Four top level U-16 National teams started today their participation in the Pasqua Barocca Tournament, held in Ragusa (Italy). Spain, Greece, Italy and Germany -all of them in the Division "A" European Championship this summer- played today. What happened? Spain struggled and lost to Greece (49-62) after shocking against Giorgos Papadionysiou ('95) -at the pic-, from Doukas School, who ended with 14 points. Beside him guard Michalis Liapis ('95) added 11. For Spain power-forward Javier de la Blanca ('95) nailed 17, while poing-guard Alberto Martin ('95) added 11. Both, prospects from Real Madrid youth teams.

 

In the other game Italy beat Germany (62-67) even the good performance from Ismet Akpinar ('95), with 18 points, and Gavin Schilling ('95) with 13. David Taylor ('95) and Maximilan Ugrai ('95) added 11.
