The Selection Belgrade won the U-22 Tournoi Mondial Basket of Tourcoing, held some days ago in the french city close to the belgium border. Serbians beat spaniards of Canarias Basketball Academy in the big final (63-70), with Novi Sad prospect Petar Jokic ('91) named as the MVP of the event. His teammate Stevan Tapuskovic ('89) -at the pic-, from Superfund, ended as the best scorer.

 

Selection of Belgrade reached the final after beating Unics Kazan (57-34), Slask Wroclaw (66-40) and Elite Team USA (102-80), even they lost to Reda Basketball (49-61).

 

Final standings: 1-Selection Belgrade (Serbia), 2-Canarias Basketball Academy (Spain), 3-Elite Team (USA), 4-Reda Team (Canada), 5-Eurometropole (France), 6-Selection National (Netherlands), 7-Slask Wroclaw (Poland) and 8-Unics Kazan (Russia).
